Boston BioLife – Functional Longevity Summit**

By registering for or attending the Functional Longevity Summit (“Summit”), you (“Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions (“Agreement”). This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, unless otherwise required by applicable law.


1. Summit Description

The Functional Longevity Summit is a live educational event focused on functional, integrative, and regenerative approaches to health optimization, longevity, and performance.

The Summit may include live presentations, panels, workshops, demonstrations, and discussions led by guest speakers and subject-matter experts.

The Summit is educational in nature only and does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or certification of any kind. Participation does not establish a doctor-patient, practitioner-client, or coaching relationship with Boston BioLife, its speakers, or affiliates.


2. Disclaimers and Scope of Services

Educational Purpose Only – Not Medical Advice

The Summit provides general educational information related to health, wellness, longevity, and emerging technologies. Content is not intended as medical advice and should not be relied upon to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition.

Participants must consult their own licensed healthcare providers before making medical or health-related decisions.

No Guarantees

No specific outcomes, health improvements, or results are promised or implied. Individual results vary and depend on numerous factors beyond the control of Boston BioLife.

Assumption of Risk

Participant acknowledges that Summit discussions may include health-related topics and agrees to participate voluntarily and at their own risk.


3. HIPAA, Privacy & Health Information Disclosure

HIPAA Status Clarification

Boston BioLife and the Functional Longevity Summit do not operate as a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), except where otherwise required by law.

Attendance at the Summit does not involve the provision of medical services and does not create any provider-patient relationship.


Voluntary Disclosure of Health Information

Participant acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Any health-related information shared during the Summit is voluntarily disclosed

  • Such disclosures may occur during live sessions, Q&A segments, workshops, or informal discussions

  • Boston BioLife does not solicit personal medical or health information and strongly discourages Participants from sharing identifiable or sensitive health details in group or public settings


No Collection or Storage of Protected Health Information (PHI)

Boston BioLife does not knowingly collect, store, or maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.

Any information voluntarily disclosed by Participant:

  • Is not entered into a medical record

  • Is not monitored for HIPAA compliance

  • Is not subject to HIPAA privacy or security protections

Participants assume full responsibility for any information they choose to disclose.


Group Setting Privacy Acknowledgment

Participant understands that:

  • Summit sessions may involve group audiences, recordings, or third-party platforms

  • Boston BioLife cannot guarantee confidentiality of information voluntarily shared by Participants

  • Other attendees are not bound by HIPAA or confidentiality obligations

Participant assumes all risks associated with voluntary disclosure of personal or health-related information.


4. Participant Obligations & Code of Conduct

To ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment, Participant agrees to:

  • Refrain from political, inflammatory, or divisive discussions during Summit sessions

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, defamatory speech, threats, or disruptive behavior

  • Respect speakers, staff, and fellow Participants

  • Maintain confidentiality of personal stories or experiences shared by others

  • Follow all Summit rules, venue policies, and safety instructions

Violations

Boston BioLife reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any Participant who violates this Code of Conduct. Removal may include loss of access to sessions and materials, without refund.


5. Registration Fees & Refund Policy

  • All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as required by law.

  • Failure to attend does not entitle the participant to a refund.

  • A participant who must cancel may “roll” their attendance to a future course, if they notify Boston BioLife within 48-hours prior to the start date, and is subject to an administrative fee of $250.00 plus paying the difference of the future course (if applicable).

  • In the event of a class cancellation, the course registration fee will be refunded, however costs incurred by the registrant i.e., airline or hotel fee/penalties, are the responsibility of the participant.

  • Exhibitors: no refunds for cancellation within 1-week of the summit.

  • Boston BioLife reserves the right to modify the Summit schedule, speakers, or format as necessary


6. Intellectual Property & Media Release

Intellectual Property

All Summit content—including presentations, slides, recordings, and materials—is the intellectual property of Boston BioLife or its speakers and is provided for personal use only. No reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is permitted without written consent.

Recording & Media Consent

The Summit may be recorded or photographed. By attending, Participant grants Boston BioLife the right to record and use Participant’s likeness, voice, or statements in educational, marketing, or promotional materials, without compensation.

Participant acknowledges that incidental references to personal experiences or health-related commentary may be captured and releases Boston BioLife from liability related to such incidental disclosures.


7. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Boston BioLife, its officers, employees, speakers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Summit

  • Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Boston BioLife from any claims arising out of Participant’s conduct, actions, or reliance on Summit content


8. Event Changes & Force Majeure

Boston BioLife is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its control, including illness, travel disruptions, weather, venue issues, or technical failures.

In such cases, Boston BioLife may reschedule, modify, or convert the Summit to a virtual format. Refunds are not guaranteed.


9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with venue in the appropriate Massachusetts courts.


10. Participant Acknowledgment

By registering for and attending the Functional Longevity Summit, Participant affirms that:

  • They are at least 18 years of age

  • They have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement

  • They accept full responsibility for their participation
